Experienced Foot Treatment. Dr. Bluhm is a licensed member of the Texas Podiatric Medical Association. He is Board Qualified by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine, Board Qualified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, and he is an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine. We are providers for a majority of insurance companies, allow patient self-claim, or out-of-pocket pay so treatment is always affordable!
Service for Children and Adults. Some adult foot problems can be prevented early in life. One trait inherited from our parents is foot type. Early foot care helps maintain a firm foundation for proper child growth and development. Through routine foot care a variety of adult foot ailments can be prevented from affecting recreational or work activities.
Surgery of the Foot. When conservative care is unable to remedy a foot problem, surgery is a favorable option. Dr. Bluhm is Board Qualified in Foot Surgery. He has been trained in reconstruction of the foot and treatment of : bunions, hammertoes, heel spurs, neuromas, fractures, wart removal, rheumatoid forefoot reconstruction, tarsal tunnel pain, decompression of the plantar fascia or nerves, exostosis, joint implants, removal of soft tissue lesions, endoscopic or open correction of plantar fasciitis, wound care and skin grafts, and ingrown toe nail treatment.
Biomechanics and Orthotics. Dr. Bluhm has excellent training in gait analysis and the construction of custom-made orthotics. We also have an in office computer to digitally scan patient's feet and show where pressure is being placed in the feet. Orthotics are made of various materials and thickness to fit athletic or dress shoes. Childrens orthotics are constructed as well.
